Well, gang, it’s been a while since last year’s celebration but I’ve been out and about spreading the Oktoberfest love in any and all places that will have me! Just recently I spent some time down at GoettaFest (man that chow is good! But I still can’t figure out just what it’s made of?!?! Then made an appearance at Schutzenfest in July – said to be one of Cincinnati’s oldest festivals starting way back in 1866. Held at Kolping Center each year, this traditional German festival is held to choose a new King and Queen for the Kolping Society. There was great German food, drink, dancing and more – what a great way to expand the belly with all things German before the big Oktoberfest.

And, since I’m a hund always in search of scraps, I made my way down to Taste of Cincinnati this year as well as several Party in the Parks – good time, good grub and great beer (although I opted not to cleanse my palette with any – I was the designated driver!)

Check back to visit my hund blog between now and Oktoberfest and I’ll give you a dog’s eye view of what’s new in the way of beers, food (my personal favorite!), entertainment, events and special guests!

Chow for now!
