Volunteer for Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati showcases the rich German heritage of Southwestern Ohio, as well as tasty samples of German-style music, food and beer. We need approximately 100 volunteers to contribute their time and energy to stage the event.
As the first - and often the last - contact a visitor has at an event, enthusiastic and helpful volunteers are crucial to the event's success. We're always looking for friendly people who'd like to volunteer for a worthwhile cause and want to be associated with this popular event.
Volunteering has never been more rewarding!! In addition to the satisfaction of knowing you've helped make our event happen, individual volunteers receive:
- An official event souvenir
- Non-alcoholic beverages during your shift
- Beverage coupons to be redeemed after your shift
Want to make the community aware of your organization? The benefits to bringing a team of volunteers from your organization is a great way to:
- Build teamwork and camaraderie in a casual setting
- Increase organization exposure - volunteers can wear organization T-shirts and exclusively staffed booths will be provided with organization signage
- Be involved in events that directly benefit our community
- Promote the vitality of Cincinnati USA
- And just have fun together
Volunteer Positions and Responsibilities »
Ambassadors
Ambassador volunteers provide the first and last impression customers see. Ambassador's responsibilities include:- Welcoming customers to the event and assisting with distributing event guides
- Answering questions customers might have about locations of restrooms, phones, ATM's, food or beverage vendors, etc. (info in event guide)
- Reminding customers they are not allowed to carry alcoholic beverages outside the event area
Volunteer Check-In
(Must show up 15 minutes prior to the start of their shift)Volunteer Check-In responsibilities include:
- Checking in volunteers for their assigned shift
- Distributing volunteer T-shirts and beverage coupons
- Answering questions volunteers might have about their duty location or responsibilities

To help with pre-event poster distribution and Friday night set-up, or for other volunteer info, please contact Chris Hooven at 513-579-3124, chooven@cincinnatichamber.com. College students looking for community service hours and others are encouraged to call. Help is needed throughout the event weekend.
